June 15, 2004 By: Zena Svenson New Line of Aquatic EquipmentSwimEx, premier designer and manufacturer of the commercial and residential line of aquatic therapy and sports conditioning pools, today announced a new line of aquatic equipment, ideal for any type of pool. The new line is comprised of four new innovations: SwimEx Hydrorunner: Simulating the elliptical motions of running, the SwimEx Hydrorunner is the first aquatic machine of its kind. With adjustable resistance, incline, and footplate positions, the SwimEx Hydrorunner is perfect for aerobic group activity, circuit training classes, athletic training programs and rehabilitation conditioning for recovery of the lower limbs. SwimEx Hydrobike: Based on the classic land-based stationary bicycle, the SwimEx Hydrobike takes aerobic and fitness training to the water. The bike features five levels of resistance, light-weight stainless steel design, adjustable saddle seat and handlebars, and enables users to introduce both aerobic and muscle conditioning. SwimEx Hydrorecline: This aquatic equipment allows the user to pedal while keeping the body immersed in water, with legs out in front in a reclined seating position. It is ideal for rehabilitation programs to recondition the knee ligaments following reconstructive surgery or sprains. The SwimEx Hydrorecline is also an effective fitness solution as the thrust of the legs promotes a superior cardiovascular workout. SwimEx Hydrocyclette: The patented design of this aquatic conditioning equipment allows the user to adjust the seat in a very low position, providing complete mobility of the knee. In the highest position, very far from the central movement system, the user is able to achieve wide angles of the knee. This particular position is very useful immediately after the surgery.
