Weight training programs should cover all aspects of your fitness goals

Before defining weight training programs you need to identify what your purpose is. What physiological aspects of training and competition are you looking to achieve with your weight training programs.

Your weight training programs define the general fitness, cardiovascular and strength for the health and fitness that you want to achieve. Whether you are training for running, swimming, weight training, weight lifting or bodybuilding each of these needs to focus on specific muscle and body development. Each fitness category has its own specifications for strength training, speed training and endurance training and you must define what level you wish to achieve in each.

Once your weight training programs have been defined and itemized then you need to apply discipline, determination and balance. Begin your workout gradually and increase the reps, sets of reps and weights as your body adapts and responds to the various exercises. Do not over train, you can do considerable damage to muscles if you do not allow them to develop gradually.
