Bench press is one of the most important workouts for bodybuilding

The bench press is one of the most effective exercises for body fitness. Next to the squats, the bench press is one of the most fundamental weight-training exercises there is.

Before doing bench press workouts you must take time to do some proper warm-ups. This workout involves using some heavy weights and can cause injuries to muscles that have not been properly warmed up. You could begin with just the bar doing a few reps, as your body warms up add a few weights, do more reps, add more weights, and so on. You don’t need to take any breaks since the time you take to add weights is sufficient.

Performing the bench press workout should be done correctly. Place the bar onto the support racks and position yourself with the bar above your forehead. Take a short breath in. Grip the bar a few inches wider than your shoulders and bend your elbows slightly. Breathe out and then in again as you do this. Push the bar upwards and move it forward in line with your chest and then lower it to your chest. Now, push the bar upwards in a quick jerk motion to the full extension of your arms. The more weight you build up to the more growth to the muscles.
