Weight training is what is reads, training your body to change your weight

You may want to lose weight, gain weight or strengthen your body muscles with weight training. Whatever it is you want to do, you need to plan a routine exercise program to accomplish this weight training.

The first thing to do with defining your weight training is to know what parts of your body you will be developing to determine what types of exercises and which exercise equipment is the most effective. You will find that companies that sell exercise equipment are very explicit on what the particular piece of equipment is used for.

Regardless of the type of weight training you want and which equipment is right for you, it is very important to start out right with your exercise program. Once you have defined the what, you must plan and define the how. Begin with an easy exercise workout program with minimal reps, daily or every other day. Once you feel comfortable and your body is not resisting in any way, then increase your reps and weights if you are using them. You are not looking for an overnight fix; this will become a lifestyle change.
